In this comprehensive sharpening series Andy King walks you through several methods for keeping your hand tools in tip top condition. To start the series Andy demonstrates how to secure a handsaw in position during sharpening. He then proceeds to show you his tried and tested method of saw sharpening both traditional handsaws and backsaws (dovetail and tenon type saws). The series then progresses to sharpening chisels and plane irons before taking a look at how to use a lapping plate.
