just finished the jewelry box I have been working on this morning. Plans from New Yankee Workshop were for a huge box so I had to reduce it quite a bit. Hope to give it to my niece for her birthday. p1010917.jpg

A very nice chest Wolfie How big is it did you cut the dove tails by hand or do you use a jig. I like the idea of a false draw front at the top. Your Niece should be very please with it

That is very nice Wolfie. What did you line the box with? I assume it is lined and not flocked? I love making miniature stuff.

Fine looking jewelry box! It's beautiful inside and out. Like the legs and the handles. I'm sure she likes it. Great job!

Hi Derek, the original plans were in inches and was 18.5 by 14. I reduced it to 320mm wide by 320 tall although it does not look like it from the photos. The hard bit was getting the sliding base to run freely. Dovetails were all machined.

Mailee, it is lined with a sort of sticky back suede stuff, just peel off the back and apply

Bruce and Doug, thank you for your comments, much appreciated. cheers Ian
