Between making Christmas presents I managed to turn this small bowl.

Made from spalted beech which I had laying around measures 7 1/2" by 1 3/4" that is why I left the chucking recess in it not as though it is very deep

Very nice Derek.

Did I see a post on another forum about chucking points?

Thank you both, and yes you did Ron I sometimes remove them and other times leave them all I wanted is other peoples views on it and not a case of this is wrong or right debate.

The wood is just gorgeous and you gave justice to it by making that beautiful bowl. Great job Derek!
