Made a large cot for a doll for my daughter for Christmas - just in the nick of time. Not a patch on the very lovely one made by Ian - but it serves a purpose!!

I also made a really lovely walnut bowl for another relative - but my wife had wrapped & shipped it before I could even take a picture!

The chances of me getting on again before the big day is very unlikely - so may I take the opportunity to wish everyone best wishes, good health and prosperity for the forthcoming New Year.

Steve

that loks very nice, but has this caused any friction in your house, as I remember Mrs H was expecting that one arm sofa to be under way by now?wink

Steve,

There's going to be one very chuffed little girl on Christmas day, have you signed and dated it, it could become a family heirloom.

Bill.

Bill - your northern humour is always welcome -

It was not meant as humour Steve, think about it, your daughter could have a daughter, I could go on but don't you think it would be nice to be remembered in 40 - 60 or more years time.

Bill.

Apologies Bill -

I never view my work like that - its just cheap pine and was made in a bit of a hurry - its hardly an 'heirloom'!

Thanks Anyway Bill - have a good Christmas -

Hi Steve good looking cot. No matter what wood it is made from it still can be a family heirloom.

From Colin's Dictionary "an object that has been in a family for generations"

I agree that no matter what wood or material you used as long as you put your heart into making it, it is worth becoming a family treasure for many years ahead. Great job!
