I would like to say sorry for not posting for 2 weeks due to having no phone or Internet due to a broken cable just down the road from me but the up side is I have been busy for 2 weeks. So here is what I have been up to.

First is a Toy Chest made from some recycled pine headboards and scrape pieces of mahogany. The carved name I am not sure of what wood that is. The measurements are 36" X 18" X 18" painted inside with white gloss and the outside is water based varnish the name Yet to be fixed (it will be when I see the new owner) is carved and the lettering is gold guilt cream and then finished with the same varnish as the chest

The rest are all turned items.

The first is a bowl my dear old mum asked me to make for a friend of hers as a present. Made from tulipwood and about 9" across

The next My sister wanted me to make this set of Salt and Pepper mills. Made from Chestnut and stand about 7" tall

I have made other things but due to the family looking on this site to see what I have been getting up too with my woodworking I will not add them to my album until after Christmas.

Hope you all enjoy what I have been making

Wondered where you`d got to, hadn`t seen any posts from you for a while, looks like you`ve been very productive in your absence & had a birthday party

Lovely work as usual.

Regards.

Hi Derek welcome back to the virtual world

Great looking stuff mate i like to see re-cycled material as well

It made me stop and think after what you said-and it suprising what we can do in a short space of time, when the eletcronic world is taken from our finger tips smiley

Thank you all for the comments

Les

I don't attend any woodturning clubs but there is one at Faversham

Doug

thanks mate try to forget birthdayslaugh

Dave

It sounded like I spend alot of time on the computer. I try to spend as much time as I can in the shed, quite often not producing anything as it is a case of waiting for glue or finishes to dry as the toy box took nearly 2 weeks just for the finish so no dust in the shed

Thank you Dennis. You know me I just like anything woodworking. Had to change lathes half way through this batch as the belt broke on my small one.
