hi All
just finished this pen. it is the most expensive pen i have finished at £11 for kit and blank. it is made from sculpted pen kit and a vintage tube traced back to the 1930s. it is finished with micromesh to 24000 grit and water.

i guess it feels good to write with it. What is the material you used,is it some kind of stone replacement?

Well Dennis what can I say a well matched pen and blank. Is this an Order or a pen for yourself. Which ever it is it should be a pleasure to use

hi Medims and Derek
the blank is a early form of acrylic found in France from the turners work shop.
Derek not sure as yet if i am going to keep it for my self or sell it.

Hi Dennis -- That's a really nice combination of blank and kit, they go well together. Interesting that you say you are using the micromesh wet, does it make a difference to the finish ? I have only ever used mine dry.

hi Julian
i think it dose you can see it start to shine as you go down the grits. i go to 12000 grit and then use the cloth provided in the kit to dry the tube of, you have to make sure that the micromesh stays wet when using it and it can be washed clean after wards. >>this<< is the kit i use.

Dennis, I can't say much more than anyone else already has.
That's a really nice pen.
Whether you keep it or sell it, it'll look great in anyone's hand.
