I think you have won Sam! Well if I were one of the judges you would. That is very impressive, beautiful workmanship.

Sam, that's a beautiful clock.
Your club colleagues are gonna have to come up with something special to beat that.
I'm sure the recipients will also be as impressed as we on here are.

Truly magnificent Sam.
If you don't win with this there must be some very talented turners in your club.
Is this your entry Dennis, another excellent piece, I hope your in different classes.

hi Bill
yes this is my entry there is only one class for every one. the judges are a club turner that has put up the prize and the other judge is a gallery owner.

A great piece Sam, very nicely executed and a lovely choice of timber.
What size is the clock mechanism? I know you can get at least 2 different ones, but you can't tell from the photo.
Lovely piece from Dennis too. How you have the patience to cut all the hundreds of segments for your pots and bowls......
Good luck to both

Like yew Sam I enjoy making clock's the choice of wood is first class all the best for the comp update us on how you get on. Dennis you always amaze me with your segment work their is one of the lads from the club that is into segment work and iv'e been to see him at work and amazed at the amount of work involved credit to you. The same applies in our club of only one catergory which im not a fan of as how can the novice's compete with fella's that been into it for years is beyond me but hey that's the rules.
