Has there been any threads on here about making a home made Router Table? I would like to make my own router table but could do with some tips.

I bought plans for the new yankee workshop deluxe router table which I can thoroughly recommend. Handytools.co.uk sell their plans.

Mine is nowhere near as good as Brian's, but it works OK. The top is a 30mm white kitchen worktop from B&Q which you can just see stood upright on the left of the photo of my mobile workstation below. The laminated finish is nice and slippery and matches the infeed and outfeed sections. It has a phenolic insert for the router and a T-track slot for a mitre gauge/featherboard. The table replaces the base for my mitre saw, which just lifts out.

The fence, which is stored in the base of the unit, is very similar to Brian's, but is fixed to the top rather than being clamped to it, and is adjustable for right angle. The fence also has a T-track slot for featherboards. The drawers on the left hold all the router cutters and associated tools etc. Also, you can see the NVR switch on the right, discussed in another thread.
