Hi Paul,
Do you know that Elekta Beckum was taken over by Metarbo.

Try this

are they disposable blades or can they be sharpened.

Bill.

Hi Bill, I did not know about Metarbo. I have never had to get any spares for my planer before and I don't know if the blades are disposable or not. how can I tell?

Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
I'll hazard at a couple of guesses but don't take it as gospel, disposable blades are usually double edged and a dull grey, sharpenable blades are a bright silver and have only one cutting edge.
I don't know if a cutter block designed for one can except the other.

Search on google and ebay.

Maybe someone that owns this particular machine can put me right, I think they made both at different times.

I have the EB BAS16 bandsaw.

Bill.
