I am pretty pleased with the outcome Bowl made from Chestnut and finished with Finishing Oil
Size is 7" long 5" wide and the bowl is 4 3/4"

I must admit that a square bowl is one of the things that I want to have a go at one day.

![]() Moderator 3219 forum posts 1004 photos | Thanks all for the comments. The flat area is 1/8" thick and was turned very carefully with the lightest of cut and finished with sandpaper and the lathe stopped.
No way was i going to sand that part with the lathe on.
![]() The bowl part was sanded with the lathe on.
Al it is chestnut but I think the picture does not help as it came out darker than it actually is |
