I started with this pile of timber this morning

And after a good days work ended up with these

These gates will be bi fold ones due to lack of space behind them. (guy has a Porshe in the way) Inserts will be V T&G and they are in redwood as usual. should get them finished tomorrow ready for fitting next week. :D

Thanks Derek. Yes I seem to be getting plenty of work so far. They are redwood and will have a clear finish on them when they are finished. I should get them fitted next week and will of course post the pics.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I do like to get a move on in the shop I have to admit. who was it said that time was money. LOL. Paul I am glad that you like the posts and find them informative. we are all here to help and none of us is too old to learn new things. We all had to start somewhere and with that in mind you would have laughed at my very early work back when I started. Thanks guys.

Verrrrry nice job Mailee. My wife's been nagging me about replacing our rotting and tatty back gates for a while now, so it looks like I'll have to get my skates on. I'll post some pics as well, but I don't think they will be anywhere near the same quality as yours.

I got the gates fitted this morning.

After a bit of trimming and juggling I got a good fit. I was worried about the gap at the bottom but he told me he is having the drive re laid anyway. Happy customer I am glad to say. :D
Got back to the workshop afterwards and finished this one that I am hoping to fit on Friday:

This one is 7' tall and will be topped by this panel:

This one is to block off an alleyway between two houses.
