Well here goes another rocker (With thanks to a kind forum member for the plans) This time in the traditional shape of a horse.

For the traditionalist among you forgive me for the materials that I am going to use, YES MDF again as I was given 2 full sheets and enough offcuts to make at least another 1 1/2 sheets (It will be painted so the MDF will not be seen)

I will be Photographing as I go as I did with the Bike rocker. Mind you it could end in tears if it goes wrong so just stick with me

Certainly going to be watching this build Derek......

I doubt MDF will have an effect of the finished project, may even be stronger

Good luck

Judging by your previous ventures I doubt that you will need to keep the tissues very close!

Looking forward to the work in progress pics.

Richard

PS - I like the trainers!

Well the next bit Half the horse cut out. Still need the holes in the bodies to be cut out to lighten the thing(would weigh a ton otherwise) and also drill out for the dowels

"Richard and Sparky photo complete with trainers"

LOL

Looking good Derek

Those trainers must be a large size as the horse has to jump over them!

Thanks all.

Not alot to show today as all I did was cut out holes in the bodies to make the whole thing lighter and also drilled holes for locating dowels

All the parts for the first half have now been cut and drilled. I am using these to produce the second half as can be seen in the photo's below. Did manage to drill 1 piece on the wrong side but no problem as it will be used on the second half and the new piece drilled for the first half

These have now been rough cut ready for the router and a straight bit with bearing to get a duplicate copy from the originals

Well here we are again another step down the road

The first of the glue ups. I put packers on the first one only to realize that material will be carved away so did not bother on the second one

Please no coments on a lovely pair of legs (I've already had my leg pulled on that one)
