Last week we had our second club competition, themed on applied colour to woodturning.
These are our entries.
I have pictures of the three winners, as selected by popular vote

I would have given first prize to the table legs!
Seriously though, I liked yours best of the final three, however, I would like a better view of the fruit.  The colours there look great from where I'm sitting.
You certainly have some talent in your club - looking forward to more.
Sadly the only club in my area (and even that is about 12 miles away) meets on Thursdays when I have another regular commitment.

Sparky, I have followed your 'How to' on inserting a link and all I got was part of the name I gave it (<<here>> and it does not work. Te web site is a bit erratic tonight as well, I lost connection and it jumps to earlier screens by itself

Thanks Richard, I will add a picture of the fruit for you. I do know that the colouring was done with acrylic

The link did work so you may have just missed a bit......and the site seems to be slow and intermediate tonight.....
Great turning though, well done to all.

Yep, the fruits do it for me Ron.  Thanks for posting the rest. Very realistic colours - especially the top left and bottom right.  The pear at the front looks a bit off but overall a great entry I reckon.

Been away for a few days, so a bit late with my comments, I agree with Richard  my choice is the fruit it shows off  the use of colour, but there are some nice pieces on show, congratulation  the club  looks as if it is going from strength to strength.
Richard the club I go to is 15 miles away, but I don't get there as often as I would like.

Thanks every one, we have settled down to a regular membership now, and some great turners amonst them.
As for my piece, S.W.M.B.O. has collard it (always a good sign!) and took everything out except the bullrushes and leaves, too busy apparently. What do I know, Ionly designed and made it!
By the way the winner was suprbly finished, in blue with gold mixed in and the lettering picked out in gold. The photo did not do it justice.
Sparky, the link is there now, seems I need more patience. Thanks anyway.

Hello Ron, 'er indoors is always right as you probably know, better to keep her sweet so you can spend more time in the shed. Like the other guys, I prefer your fruit to the other entries. Good to see the club prospering and long may it continue.  Well done.   Alan T.
