Big Al

I just saw your "sketch" for the 3 way joint in an outdoor project. What software package did you use to produce that. It looks quite good and certainly beats freehand and scanning or daft things like that.

Anyone else got any tips on drawing software?

I use google sketchup, which is a free program and is very easy to use.

Hi Delboy

Big Al is a wise man.  Google Sketchup is free and very good but, for me anyway, is not particularly easy to use.  I do enjoy trying though!

Hi Al.

I have visited Sketchup two or three times but never been able to get the hang of it. I have seen some of the drawings on this forum that it has produced and it looks very good.
Pehaps there is scope for an article in here somewhere about getting started with Sketchup.

Julian, sketchup is a very easy to use program, have you watched the online tutorials? They may help you to understand the program.
