Hi fellow woodies today I aquired a stanley scraper plane and need to know how to sharpen its blade I think I read somewhere that it has to be sharpened at 45 degrees but not sure I would very much appreciate some advice from my gooD woody buddies

Yes, 45° is about right for these planes. You'll then won't to create a burr on the tip of that edge, as you would when sharpening a card scraper. This can be done with a burnisher (preferably; if you have one). Or, if you don't, you might be able to use the shank of a screwdriver although, the steel used for these tends to be quite soft and you may not find it as effective.
