Just knocked this box up for the other half as she had been complaining that she wanted a new blanket chest. I will be using the top from the old one as it is also a seat.
It is made out of some MR MDF I had left over from a job.
Should put me in good books for a while.

I am going to leave it just sealed as the wife has some of those 'smelly' papers to put in the bottom Marc.

Aw come on Ron! I just looked at your album, some nice work in there. When I stated just knocked up I was serious as it is just a MDF box with rebated joints. Now if it had been an Oak chest with panel and frame that would be a different matter.

I'm with Ron on this. That looks really good. The corners look mitred and so well done. Are the plinth corners mitred - if so, they also look extremely good. was the relief pattern "simply" routered?

Thanks Delboy. It is just jointed together with rebated corners although the plinth is mitred. Yes the relief is just routered in. quick and simple as I said. If I was to make the sides with rails and stiles with raised panels then that would be more complicated but this is basically just an MDF box. Glad you like it though.
