Hi Adam,
Welcome to the forum.
An unusual and well made piece.
why not tell us  more about yourself by filling in your profile and then tell us something about this fine piece.
What is it and where will it be used?

It is mostly made from beech but the top is made from elm.
I was given a breif to make an artefact to store sports gear for one activity. I chose archery.
It took about 14 weeks of hard work to complete it .
I didnt want to have a plain looking project so I decided to use a semi octagonal shape
I used a bees wax paste to finish it.
Joining the frames was quiet difficult and to join the frames but I was delighted with the finished piece.
This was my first major project and was my first time working with beech.

Hi Adam . I take it you are a student of some form .   Got to say as well that I too like your piece of work .   I like the simplicity and crisp-ness of the design but how you chose the shape of the piece . The colour suits the piece aswell and the modest furniture .
Only thing I would of done differently is ........only Kidding

Once again , well done .
Kind regards Sam

Hi Adam,
interesting that it's an Achery cabinet. Do you have any dimensions and views of the cabinet open to see how the equipment is stored ? Also I presume the top is thick enough to bolt the bow press to if it's for compound or long enough for the straightening jig.
                       Best Regards

Hi Julian, the bow that I have is a take down bow so it meant less storage
I have a link with a picture of it

Hi Adam
Just had a look at your album and very inpressed with the build. I have been shooting for many years so always find a piece of kit for the sport interesting.
I look forward to some of your future projects.
