Congratulations Ralph on you trinket box in Good Woodworking 227, I have only had chance for a quick look at the mag that dropped through my letter box this morning,
The box is an interesting project well discribed, the rest of the mag looks good, when I get time to read it all.

There are two photos of the box on page 46 I tend to favour the one on the left.

 Congratulations  getting back in print.

Got mine today and I totally agree with the words already spoken but, I do like the one on the right.........the left one reminds me of a stored boat in a fishing village....No offence Ralph and it is very nice but, the right one stares out at me.

Great write up and photos, well done mate.

Is it a picture of 2 different drawer units ? and is one of them this one ?

I prefer the other one, it was going to be going to the competition but it was not quite good enough. i havnt put any pictures of it on here yet.

Hi Ralph

Yes mate, this is the left version as discribed above......I do like the other 'creamier' coloured box.

Both great boxes none the less.

I bought a plank of Sycamore for the clock and a plank of Goncalo Alves which was cheap, so when there was a little Sycamore left i decided to use it for the face on the drawerrs, it worked quite well really.

Just got to Yandles yesterday and picked up a plank of Purple Heart at about half the price it should have been it was marked up wrong and another plank of Sycamore so the next project will be started soon, hopefully before i get away next month ?
