Excellent work Alan. I think that I might prefer it with straight legs just rounded over on the outside corner but nonetheless a very good piece of functional work.

I think your right, its a few years since i made it, they were the firts things id ever turned and I was 14/15 years old. I got the design from a picture that was on the old getwoodworkingwebsite in about 2005. I estimated everything from the photo and since it was my first real piece of furniture the proportions are a little off, its a piece that close to my heart all the same.

A very nice piece. I like the legs just as they are, but that is a personal taste. A good job we dont all like the same things.

Interesting design. Looks like you got your geometry correct and that everything is in the right place! Well done.
Did you buy the plans from the Great British Woodshop, in the end?

I got a few pictures off the old website and estimated from them, the origional design was by Bob Chapman. It was a picture of his stool i had
