You've done a great job making this mate,
I think that the Oak and finish was a good choice to highlight the magazine (should have Get woodworking there too)

The Danish oil certainly works well with the wood. I've bought a small tin and used and found it enhances the wood beautifully.
Well done and great set of pictures.

That is very nicely done, a good finish too.
I also like how it doubles up as a side table for any room in the house.

Great project Ian,
I like it when i can combine turned work with flat stuff, it makes it more interesting.
A nice job well carried out, with a good looking finish.  Well done.

Hello Ian,
If 'er indoors sees this I'll never get any peace till I've made her one . Have to spike the modem or something and plead ignorance. Seriously it's brilliant. Like it a lot. Well done.  Cheers  Alan T.

I agree with all the comments that have been made, an excellent job and set of photos, like the idea of the use as a side table,

H i Marc, thank you for your comments, I do tend to use danish oil for most things I make. I find it very easy to apply and I am happy with the finish.
Hi OPJ  thank you, this was made to fit inbetween two chairs in the conservatory and it really is handy.
Hi Ron, thank you I do not subscribe but do tend to get at least one mag a month.I did get them more regularly but found that over the years they were going over the same things.
