    this was don as a last min x mas gift for a friend at work and filled in the time wile wating for the segments to dry on the lamp. only thing now is every one has seen it and whants one but havent got any more wood to do them with apart from labernam that is poisones, un'less i can seal it in sume way were the stopppers are going.

Dont quote me on it and i am sure i will be corrected, but i thought it was the flowers on Laburnum that were poisonous ?

A realy nice piece. It gives me ideas.
One question why the little pieces sticking up. I am probably missing something.
As for Laburnum being posionus My understanding is the Flowers are. As for the wood I dont know but erring on the side of caution I would save the mateial for a Non Food or Child project. Unless you like to make something for my horrible ********** edited by the writer.

     the little bit sticking out of the lid is to denot the stalk as the box and the stoppers are actualy in the shape of apples.
       i have been looking on the web about laburnum and it has been used as wine goblets so if i can seal it in some way then i will use it.

       Roger your not the only one as Marc started the thread of as "Dennis's wine stopper and ball box " well now he know's it is a apple box.
   Derek next one may be in the shape of a wine bottle.not shure yet.

You are right about laburnum, All parts of the plant contain cytisine and are poisonous if consumed.
