good morning all
does anybody know of a site which shows a step by step guide to this type of turning please
i know basically how its done i would just like to see a detailed demostration before i have a go

Try the woodturning online website, there is at least one good pdf on this type of turning.  I enjoyed involuted turning it and tried it after a demostration by Margerat Garrard

Nice one Marc
That just about covers it, the only thing i would add is,
I would use paper and glue for the first joints it makes it easier to split them before rotating them. it also saves timber because you dont need to cut off the waste (glued ) area.
