I think there must be posting to get your entry to the competition, it is a three day event, I don't know which day the competition would be judged on,  and not many people will be able to attend twice,on the ground of cost and time,                                                              The difficulty would be in getting your pieces back after the show if you can't attend, would the organisers take the responsibility to return the articles to the entrants,

I haven't had any more information as yet George. As soon as I hear anything I'll post it here.

PS. I've just emailed the powers that be for more information so I hope to update you all with the competition specifications soon.

Hi

alas, being in south africa puts me well away from attending, more's the pity. please show your entries on the site, i'd love to see who is doing what. as for entering, i say go for it. the more who experience it the more valuable it is for everyone.

Hello All!

Great news from our friends at Robert Sorby; they will be contributing a six-piece set of turning tools as a prize in each category of the turning competition!

Good Morning,

Dennis, I like this idea and will put it to the events team, we would need a better idea of how many others would as generous as to donate their work...?

Thanks

Clare

I would certainly donate a piece for a charitable auction, I am hoping to enter a few pieces so it would be dependent on the result of the competition, ?

Hello Clare,
Please add my name to the list of those willing to donate their competition entry to an auction for charity. This would also solve the problem of returning the item for the organisers.  Cheers   Alan T.
