Andrew, this is very nice and I like the little detail finishes to it.

The dovetails hand cut?

Great job and well done

The more I look at this Andrew the more I like it. The simplicity of the side board works well (although I know from experience that just because it looks simple doesn't mean that it was easy to make), the curved top rails add some interest, the legs, whilst lifting the bottom of the cabinet, make's it seem lighter.

I also adore the medular ray's on the drawer front's, something that I have alway's liked about quarter sawn oak.

My only minor criticism, is the end panel, the top rail doesn't line up with the drawer fronts.

A fine piece of furniture, and something to be proud of.

This looks superb, Andrew. Are the dovetails on the drawers hand-cut? Looking at the outer edges of the stiles, it looks as though you've added plugs - are these purely for decoration? I love the use of quarter-sawn oak, very well done.

Hello

Yes the dovetails are handcut. I recently purchased a Veritas dovetail saw from www.fine-tools.com and put the saw to test. It cuts superb. This is my first veritas tool i own.

Those pegs apart from being decorative it also strengthens the joint.

This is the first time I have done a panel door by the way.

Thanks everyone for your appreciation.

Cheers

I've often heard of quarter sawn but never really understood it.........until now.

Something I may try on a future project.

Again, well done Andrew
