How about doing this as a project!!

Roger''s words..........."Not my work But I helped a pupil develop the design, and assisted where needed. 3 layers of ''green'' elm from a local sawmill wrapped round a former and glued. Because it had to be bent straight from the sawmill all the finishing had to be done by hand!"

Sparky,
It is amazing what gems you unearth when you dust off the old family albums!
The GW family is no exception. Well done for unearthing them.
Joe.

Hi Alan
I'm sure memory isn't needed for web sites Alan, its the size of the hard drives that keeps all the information...... and I do know that you can get more than 10 TB (terrabyte) hard drives now......yours would be something like 30-60GB.......(I have 3 hard drives, 1 - 260GB, 1 - 120GB and 1 - 80GB, all these where needed for the computer graphics I did some time back.) 1,000GB = 1 TB (Terrabyte)

That's an impressive use of timber and one project I don't recall seeing before. Any idea what species it is? It looks quite like yew, to me?

On the subject of hard drives and storage... All these photos I keep taking are eating up space on our PC and I'm thinking about getting an external hard drive so I can dump all my work on there instead. Does anyone have any recommendations? ...Marc?

Regarding the hard drive.........take your pick as all are pretty good externals
 >> 500GB onwards << from £50!

I remember trying to get more space on my first computer.......£35 for a 4GB hard drive!!!

What plenty of time on your hands Sparky looking through some of the old albums.
