7631 forum posts 22 photos | Olly Did you sand before the coats? You need to get some Restore for the metal, then it will look like new.

![]() 2776 forum posts 636 photos | Hi Roger, yes, I totally agree, they feel so much nicer to hold now. There's none of that 'pasticcy' feel anymore and the plane itself looks so much nicer for it. Hi Sparky, I gave a very lght sanding with 400g after stripping the old finish but it wasn't really necessary, the Rustins' Strypit stuff removes everything once you work out how to use it. Yes, I am now keen to have a go with some Restore at some point after seeing your results. |
