If I was buying a router for the first time knowing what I know now I would buy a dewalt DW615 which is around £140. I know that this is almost double the cost of the bosch, but I have got 2 DW613's, and have had them for at least 5 years now and both perform faultlessly. The only difference between the DW613 and DW615 is variable speed, the 615 has got it whilst the 613 hasn't got it.

I would also recommend the trend T5 although this is more expensive than the dewalt it does come with an excellent fence and the base has got tapped holes to accept screws for guide bushes.

Thomas.

I prefer Trend or Dewalt though i know they are dearer.
If This link works there is a DeWalt 621 shop soiled with a £90 saving, It worth shopping around & seeing if you can get a discounted Branded name, they do tend to be better quality &  have a larger range of accessories.

Hi Thomas,
The Bosch looks good If it's your first router. If like me you don't use it all the time don't buy exspensive you may not get on with it ! My first was from Screwfix Ferm 1/4" Router and still have it today. You can always get another one when you can afford it. Sometimes it is useful to have 2 routers on the go for some jobs. At the mo I have 3
Don't forget the cutters!

Thomas,
You should be able to pick up a Draper 1200w for  about €80 to €100. Mine was about €80 a couple of years ago. PS Marc (Sparkey) can tell you about them
