Warren et al,

I've had the bandsaw for months now, and have got everything sorted. Set up is easy with a sharp blade! Lets drop this one, as it is a really old thread.

For me, the best blades I have ever used are from this company (removed) . My online shopping experience with them was easy and convenient, to say the least. The blades are just as good as their customer service. Most all band saw blades are or should be pretty similar the big issue is whether or not the band saw blade is designed to cut what you want it to cut?

Ancient thread dug up again! American advertisers infiltrating I suspect. Please buy English! (or British even!)

Oh, I have the same problem. It's not easy to find the right one to replace. Almost the original blades along with band saw are the best ones.

I've met plenty of people online who are delighted with the service.

Hi Mike, I have just sent this post to another enquiry.

With a new bandsaw to look after, you may, or may not be aware that all bandsaws need to be 'tuned' to get the best out of them. In addition, there is a huge difference in the performance of the bandsaw when the wrong make of blade is chosen and these DO affect results. The best blade in the UK are undoubtedly made by Ian Black of Tuffsaw.http://www.tuffsaws.co.uk/index.php?route=information/contact/success

However, getting the bandsaw running smoothly takes time each and every time you change blades. If you haven't already seen it, the following may help.

THE BEST FROM A BANDSAW 'Alex Snodgrass of Carter Industries has an excellent video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGbZqWac0jU on a tune up method that works well, but if you want to get the best use of your bandsaw on an ongoing basis, then the Steve Maskery DVD's will show you far more and they are a real investment. http://www.workshopessentials.com/shop/ '.

For checking the tension of your blade - A Flutter test Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8zZuDosSy0

I hope this all helps you to get the very best from your latest equipment and if you need help, please shout up.
