Hi,

Does anyone use panel clamps, home made cauls or any other device for minimising misalignment/cleanup after gluing up a panel ? What's the best  way of doing it?

Cheers

John

One way is to set up rests or supports for the pieces you want to glue up to make a panel. Rest the panel pieces on these bearers and have smaller rests for the panel clamps which will help hold them upright. Clamp up the panels while they rest on the wooden rest rather than the clamp itself. David Charlesworth describes the idea in detail in volume 2 of his series of books.
