Hi Ben,

You truly have a great talent. I like all your pieces, but this one of the Green Man is awesome, I would'nt even know where to start let alone having the patience to finish. Way to go, Steve.

1 articles		Hi Steve Just caught up with your comment — thanks very much. Wouldn't know where to start? It was a day of modelling in clay for me. And pretty demanding work too. I modelled full size and used the clay model as a setting guage for the drill press. By setting a depth on the model and drilling to that depth in the corresponding place on the carving blank (eg tip of nose, or side of mouth) I had a lot of reference points to work to. would have found it very hard otherwise. One student on one of my courses has reporduced it pretty well, by that technique. Good luck with yur own work. Ben benr@esatclear.ie
