And pretty demanding work too. I modelled full size and used the clay model as a setting guage for the drill press. By setting a depth on the model and drilling to that depth in the corresponding place on the carving blank (eg tip of nose, or side of mouth) I had a lot of reference points to work to. would have found it very hard otherwise. One student on one of my courses has reporduced it pretty well, by that technique. Good luck with yur own work. Ben benr@esatclear.ie |
