After staining and applying a coat of Polyurethane there appeared random dots of dark stain. I sanded the wood and can almost watch the dark stain dots reappear. I am wondering if my problem is with the oak boards I purchased. All of the previous oak boards that I have used for cabinet face frames have never shown this behavior. Have you seen this before and is there a solution or do I just purchase new wood?
