I am looking at setting up a Dremel 220 Multi Purpose Workstation as a drill press with a non-Dremel brushless electric drill, as I have heard Dremel tools are noisy (10000 - 30000 rpm) and I will be doing this at home, not in a workshop.
Advice from anyone who has done this &/or can recommend a good quality brushless drill that will fit the Dremel workstation much appreciated.

Hi Robert, I have several Dremel tools, a standard 240v tool plus a similar tool with a flexible drive to to the hand piece [probably 40 years old] not used much, the motor hangs up and the hand piece is quite small in diameter. Recently I purchased a cordless version for convenience, not as powerful as the mains version but very useful.
As far as noise level and considering the speed I do not find them overly noisy no more than I would expect. All mine are variable speed tools.
Just my 5 bits -- maybe it will help
