i have had a small ferm band saw for many years which recently need new tyres on both wheels i purchased 2 new rubber tyres on ebay and fitted them adjusted the saw blade and spun the top wheel and the blade worked perfectly until i put power into the saw which then ripped both bottom and top tyres off the wheels i spent 2 afternoons messing about with the saw and was about to give up all hope and then thought why not try some double sided carpet tape on both wheels fitted the tape on both wheels and then the rubber tyre over this and the saw now works perfectly if any member is having this same problem get some double sided tape and i sure you will have the same success

Good suggestion, carpet tape is amazingly strong and almost another tool in my kit
