Birthday present

Hi all This is a present for my youngest sister

Thebowl is made from salted timber which I found a challenge to turn and am pleased with the result

The plum is purple heart the pear is yew the Orange is natural in colour but the name I don't know the apples are also yew and the banana pan armello don't know if this is spelt right

I've stuck the fyffes sticker on

I like the fruit and the sticker is just a great touch. The bowl I like the design but a little concerned with the foot size.

I must admit that pears are my downfall I can never seem to get the shape right

Hi Derek thanks for the feedback and I agree with you about the foot size but it was the biggest s palted beech piece I had so I decided to use it as an after thought to add to the bowl and it works just

With the apples and pears I normally take a piece of real fruit in the workshop with me and use it for size and shape

I wear glasses all the time and find I tend to make fruit to big hence the use of real fruit

It also comes in handy at a break time
