I bought an electric chainsaw from Axminster. I now need carbon brushes for said chainsaw but they tell me that they no longer sell saws from the company that supplied them and the supplier has gone out of buisness.

Has anyone any knowledge of the axminster 400mm electric chainsaw part No.200280 230V ac 50Hz 10M/s 20000W could they give me the physical dimentions of the brushes .

Thank you

John

Hi John - You will probably find that your local washing machine repair shop will be able to sort you out with some brushes. You may have to cut a pair down to size by rubbing on emery cloth so long at the contact type (the copper braid bit) is the same. If not go to your garden machinery repair shop as most of these things are pretty common across the ranges however 20Kw is quite a big chainsaw !!! -- Julian
