  • hi and on opening my door on my bandsaw I found 5 blades 2 X 3/4 X 6 and 2 X 1/2 X 6 and 1 X 1/4 X 10 they are all 2750 long can anybody give me any advice what there good for as Iam a novice to all this cheers Stephen

The smaller the size the tighter the curve that can be sawn the 1/4" fir example would give a finer cut and be suitable for things like bandsawn boxes. the 3/4" would be suitable for some resawing to thin boards, as will the 1/2" but this also depends on the tooth configuration as some are designed to cut wet wood can you take photo's and post them of the teeth on all three blades
