For two months, Good Woodworking magazine has been asking young people under 25 to apply for a competition in conjunction with David Savage to win a chest full of hand tools. Chris Schwarz sells these chests in America for $4,000 and David is planning to put the beginnings of a set of woodworker’s hand tools in this chest, which adds about another £1,000 to the prize bundle! The two finalists will also be invited to go to Rowden to take part in a one-week Basics Course, each worth £750. What a fantastic prize for a young woodworker!

Love making?

This competition is only open to young woodworkers aged under 25 years, so if YOU are interested in applying, or if you know SOMEONE who qualifies, then PLEASE urge them to apply!
We are looking for a young person aged under 25 who loves making; someone who can send us photos of a thing they have made who may be struggling without tools and doing loads with an electric drill and a hot melt glue gun, but not much else. Someone who would really benefit from a tool chest like this at the beginning of their making life.

So if you know anyone, please get them to apply and help us to help the young woodworkers of tomorrow!

Thank you!
