Hi Derek thanks for the comments appreciated

The vase is 16ins tall and 5ins at the widest point

The woods used were tulip sycamore mahogany ash oak beech and walnut

I got the thread of you tube Steve ogle bits of scrap

I've been of the site for a while my lap top is about gone and I could not get my password accepted

I've now got a tablet and m waiting for my 11 and 14 year old grand kids to give me some lesson

Hey this growing old lark is hard work that's what's wrong with retirement

You don't get a day off

Well done Robbie, you deserve to be happy, a nice vase and well made with an elegant shape. How deep did you manage to hollow the inside?

Keep going with the hard work I say, I can't imagine a day of doing nothing!!
