a friend at our club gave me a few blanks to turn and this laburnum bowl is one of them.

Very nice indeed Dennis this is one of those woods that is on my to turn list as it always seems to produce some lovely grain.

hi Derek thank you for the compliment. it is a very easy timber to use it is like the cherry very silky and smooth timber. it doesn't like a lot of heat so sand as slow as you can get it. I power sand most of my items now but have the speed right the way down.

i have some laburnum but have been saving it for when i can turn better and have a bit more time. lovely form you have created, did you use the bace with an internal chuck as it looks very shallow for gripping?
