This is my second in the series i am creating, The form is made from Spalted Beech, the lid is Sonokling, the ball is made from Holly, and finial is also Holly which was carved and ebonised.
 
I decided not to ebonise the inside of this one to show off the characture of the spalting. Many thanks for looking

Many thanks for your kind comments, and as requested i have attached the photograph with the box open. I ebonised the internal of the box with ebonising laquer

It has been a while since i posted anything. and i have been struggling to actually post on the board, hence this has been in my album for a good few days, it is an experimental piece, and i have created another which is slightly bigger, which i still need to take a photograph of
 
The main body is made from Spalted beech, with a Sonokling insert, then the lid is made from Walnut, the ball is made from Holly and the finial made from Ebony.

It has been a while since i last posted any work!!! So i thought i would post one of my latest creations, it is made from Cocobola, and threaded. It measures 2 1/2" high. I hope you like it.
