Thread: Cancellation of subscription
09/01/2013 09:53:40

Peter,

It seems really strange when the publisher and editor get paid, but the author doesn't.

Also, the poor old customer has paid twice for the same article.

Cheers,

Neil

Hi all,

After many happy years I am disappointed to say that I have today cancelled my subscription to GWW.

This was due solely to GWW re-printing a Steve Maskery article, in the current issue, without him receiving a payment at the time of the re-print.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Richard,

Well done,

Thread: Dado
28/05/2012 12:00:37

Hi Paul,

If you Google "exact width dado jig" it will give you the details on creating a jig to produce dadoes using a router. It is far safer than using a tablesaw.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Alan,

If you make it from oak it doesn't require a finish and will be extremely durable.

Thanks,

Neil

Does anyone know how Ash reacts to sunlight?

Thread: Good Woodworking Index
21/03/2012 17:39:54

Yes, an electronic index would be excellent. The amount of time I have wasted going through old copies of GWW is unbelievable. sad

<rant over>

Thanks,

Neil

Thread: band saw problem
12/03/2012 12:38:07

Hi Paul,

I would strongly recommend the Steve Maskery DVD called Bandsaw Essentials.

It'll take you through everything you need to know about setting up your bandsaw.

Thanks,

Neil

Though you don't have to bribe me. I love your mags, just read the last one for the tenth time.

IIRC, the free gifts only apply to new subscribers.

Thanks,

Neil

Thread: Dado blades

I forgot to mention you should search for "exact width dado jig".

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Gerald,

I would ask why you would bother with a dado set in a tablesaw when it is so much quicker to set up and you will get a better finish with a router.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi Peter,

I have had a number of dicussions, with myself, about the benefits/downside of using a cyclone.

How many hours would you estimate that you have had out of the cyclone? Would you be happy if you'd bought it yourself?

Thanks,
Neil

It's simple to apply.
