Could this be why I've not received one?

Thread: Alan Preston's Workshop

Hi I have a theory that any man who has a clean and tidy workshop has a wife/partner who cleans up after them

That's me living dangerously again though!

I wish I could learn to be a bit tidier.

Thread: Hello everyone, I'm Lindsay!
10/09/2009 15:05:48
Hi Lindsay - welcome.

As well as magazines there are loads of good introductory books that might help.  There is  Collins complete woodworkers manual (£21 on amazon) and collins woodworking for beginners (from 3.70 on amazon)

You would find any of the woodworking mags useful - Good Woodworkiong, The Woodworker and the one from the competition (Woodworking plans and projects but I didnlt meantion it on here!

Then you can always ask us lot as well

Hi Alan

Richard has it spot on about the price you got - an absolute steal.  It's a shame that people aren't prepared to pay for the quality, skill and craftsmanship.

Well done again.  I've sent you a PM about the pewter - I'm hoping to have a go next week and will take some pics so expect another "how to" sometime in the next millenia!

Alan

This is a very impressive piece of work.  I confess it's a little too ornate for my taste but i admire your skill and patience.

Have you done anything with the pewter yet?  I'm planning to have a go next week if time permits.

Obviously you guys are getting touch with your feminine side - like buying things that don't fit because they're a bargain!

Thread: Is it only me,

Hi Ivor

I had a prob;lem adding photos to my album.  It all looked Ok then it didn't work.  It turned out it was the way I named the photos.  Now I avoid things like spaces and underscores and all is well.
