I'm still amazed at the size of these turnings mate....you must work with giant magnifiers on!…

At least we get to see how thin you turn these beautiful bowls.

Great work 👍🏼😊🏆

Thread: 3rd hollow form

Stunning work mate and for me, definitely better without the lines 😉😊

I hated my 12 hour shifts, it was more like 16 when the liners came into port (I did docks security) so still having time to do this is awesome...

thank you Mark for your comments. no no pixie's. as for the turning of the inside I went in through the bottom and plugged it with a part from the bottom when turning the chucking point. the marks on the side are sanding marks that when in the shed I never seen but under photo flash it showed up. will be sanding it of and finishing it better tonight. will post the final photo after finishing.

Oh Dennis, I didn't mean it to be redone mate, if it's only the camera flash that shows it, don't use flash when taking photos! LOL

Ah now I know the secret, bottom in, I never thought about doing it that way...clever 🏆👍🏼

Keep them coming my friend, they are great to look at 😉😊

Thread: Nuts and Rats! (umm, I mean nuts and bolts ha ha ha :-)

Bummer mate....I had the same problem where they came from a water drainage ditch and my old neighbour even bought ferrets as their wee is said to keep rats away....worked for a while but the rats aren't stupid, they just entered the house wall cavity by chewing through the metal wall vents and climbed through to our house, up the inside through the cavity insulation, around our loft and down through the cavity to next doors house (semi-detached)…I had bought traps (caught a few) and poison (which only brought in giant flies into kitchen 😡

Since moved and unpacked my tools etc, found my dust bags chewed through and what looks like nesting with sunflower seeds....ho hum, back to blocking every hole and place metal grailing on bottom of garage door.....at least this is a mouse and not a rat but, they still can do a lot of damage....little buggers 😒

Good luck 👍🏼

Thread: 3rd hollow form

Right, own up...you have a pixie working for you🤔

How the heck do you turn such angles with only a small entering hole??…

Your turning is taking New bounds mate, stunning!!

Just one little question if I may....are those turning marks around the girth that haven't been sanded out or a purpose design??
