Barn Owl - yew and bog oak.jpg

This was carved from a slightly rotten limb, trimmed from an overgrown yew tree in Bantry House, West Cork. The eyes are little lozenge shaped bits of ancient black bog-oak, inlaid into carved sockets. Full step-by-step instructions are in Practical Wood
