Beginner's Luck!

In the 70s I made this music stand, which depended on a wooden screw to secure it in position. never having turned before, I used a drill-powered lathe and some borrowed tools to produce the blank to be threaded with a screwbox. Now, 40 years later, I'm about to get my first real lathe!
