Cabinets with raised and fielded panels

Created by Michael Forster 2 on 25/11/2013 05:32:14

I do occassionally do full-size furniture, and here's an example. In ash and padauk, these cabinets feature hand-cut raised and fielded panels. To stabilise the panels, I ripped them from 4" wide boards and edge-jointed them with the end grain reversed. They're actually bookmatched but don't really exploit the feature and one looks particularly odd! We learn!
