Festool release two new routers

OF 2200 EB half inch router

Festool launched their new top of the line OF 2200 EB half inch router at this years show. They had a fully working demonstration model which I managed to get my hands on. Sebastian Göbel was kind enough to give me a a very detailed overview of what this new router has to offer. It has an impressive list of new features - I was amazed at just how many innovations Festool have managed to cram into one machine! A more detailed write-up with lots of pictures to follow shortly.

MFK 700 EQ quarter inch router

Festool also released the MFK 700 EQ at the show. This is a new quarter inch collet router. Initial impressions are good with the usual no compromise Festool build quality. Pricing and availability for both machines needs to be confirmed but their both very likely to be available in April and at similar prices to the existing models they replace.
