    Hi Ben,
    So in effect, you have made a portable woodwork vice, to clamp to the front edge of your bench.

    Good idea for those smaller jobs. Up to now, I used my bench vice for this job, whenever the frame was big enough to 'waggle' into position in the vice. Thanks for that.
