MAKITA’S NEW SLIDE COMPOUND MITRE SAW HAS 65MM MAXIMUM DEPTH OF CUT
The new Makita LS0815FL 216mm slide compound mitre saw has a features list ideally suited to first and second fix on-site carpentry operations. It weighs just 14.5kg with a convenient carry handle making it very practical for easy transport from van to site location. Available in either 110volt or 240volt options to suit site regulations, the new LS0815FL has a maximum depth of cut at 90° of 65mm (2.5”).
This compound mitre saw has a 1,400watt motor which will run the 216mm blade up to 5,000rpm without load. The rigid, cast alloy base and twin parallel slides give a high level of accuracy with the blade at any angle. Saws with slides above each other as opposed to side by side as on the LS0815FL, prove to be inaccurate as the drive head has a tendency to tilt the slides into a curved track. Twin material support bars are fitted either side of the base plate which also has a left side sub fence with a fixed fence on the right side. The stock clamping post can be fitted to either side.
The LS0815FL has an LED job light and a laser cutting guide line. The clear view blade cover also helps accuracy in operation. The maximum depth of cut at 90° is 65mm with a stock width of 305mm. The mitre range is 45° to 60°. At 45° bevel angle and at 45° mitre angle, the depth of cut is a useful 50mm with a stock width of 215mm. A wide range of high performance blades are available in the Makita accessory range.
This highly accurate slide compound mitre saw is a compact machine with large cutting capacity, it is robust and ideally equipped for all on-site operations.
