The bargain hunter team are back in the streets...

Last week we told you about a drill bit set that Aldi were offering for £19.99. There are often sets of drill bits on offer and we have mentioned them from time to time but this is something altogether different. It was the flexible drive that caught our eye but on closer inspection it was apparent that all the bits are fitted with the standard hex shank and a couple of adapters are also supplied; one normal and one long reach. The set is exceptional value for money and is supplied in a very nice Aluminium flight case with a good sturdy metal handle. Although this offer officially started last Sunday we still managed to buy one during the week. If you are interested go and have a look in your local Aldi and see if there are any left. If you missed it this time, don’t worry, most of these offers will be repeated. The Bargain Hunter team will let you know if they reappear.
On your knees...
There are times when you need to get down on your knees and fit the odd lock or get to a particularly awkward area to apply some finish. Kneeling about in the workshop can be hard work on the knees if you happen to kneel on that chop of hardwood or that ‘lost’ screw – it can be a really painful experience. Poundshop are currently selling a pair of kneepads for a pound. Just the thing to have hanging in the workshop for the occasional job that brings you to your knees.
While treading the boards of this particular pound shop we came across a set of spade bits in a plastic sleeve. If you’re not into buying large sets of drill bits for all occasions then this is for you. One each of the three most popular sizes 13, 16 19mm – all three for just a pound… that has to be a bargain!
If you see anything on your local High Street that you think is worthy of a mention e-mail the details, along with a photograph, to me here at the Bargain Hunter office,
